Culture, not fashion's best friend.

Culture to me is an epiphany, it never mattered before and now it seems like a crucial stepping-stone to understanding anything at all. It serves as a strange array of rules and regulations, thus us, societies, flourish around it, quietly wadding our ways through in and through out. It is an experience, which contains all aspects of our lives and the world around us.

It is primarily defined to historical, political and social culture- to each is its own, as stepping out of one’s cultural norm would be taboo. Anything that contravenes this unwritten code is social violation.

Biased in opinions and with loosely shaped morale men and women are victims of culture. Men have their share of progressing civility to maintain, but it’s a whole different ball game for women. From the simplest things like dressing and posture to social hierarchy women have fought their ways to achieve even the slightest rewards in life.

In fashion, culture and gender go hand in hand. The two accommodate creativity, individualism, projection and acceptance. Fashion at its extreme can serve to be dangerous and culturally condemning. The rules that men and women were ever so willingly following could be broken. Fashion has the ability to take over. It is the new cult that doesn’t need acceptance, just appreciation.

A person's conception and expression of their own and the projection of it to the world outlines their identity. In simple words identity is the condition of being oneself and not another. It is significant in one’s character, mannerisms and choices.

Culture is and always will be a hindrance to identity. Because one’s true creative self can never be unleashed amidst culturally prying norms. Understanding this and accepting this is not the answer. A designer brings with him a unique sense of creation, and a wearer brings the rationale. The two, hand in hand must defy normalcy and in time create the unthinkable. Peering through minds and extracting answers to questions that are frequented is a the makers way of realization, For there is reason and purpose for every design and with time and effort the society might learn it’s story.
